The American Association of Zoo Keepers San Diego Chapter (AAZK San Diego) will be hosting their 27th Annual Bowling for Rhinos bowl-a-thon fundraiser benefitting rhino conservation on May 20, 2017

at Kearny Mesa Bowl.

100% of proceeds raised

during this event go directly to

rhino conservation projects.

This includes conserving rhinos, their habitats, and hundreds of other endangered plants and animals on two continents, as well as cheetah conservation in Kenya. There are five (5) species of rhinos left and all are critically endangered. Only 5,500 black rhinos remain in isolated populations, while fewer than 60 Javan rhinos are thought to exist. Poaching and habitat loss have caused rhino numbers to decline 90% since 1970. In 2014 and again in 2015, over 1,200 rhinos were poached, the most on record!
